Big Crowd Blesses New Raskin HQ in Silver Spring

Joy Austin-Lane and Mark Woodard Offer Key Endorsements as Esther Gelman and Dorothy Davidson Cut the Ribbon

An enthusiastic crowd of more than 100 fired-up Silver Spring Democrats was on hand Thursday afternoon to witness the latest dramatic milestone of the surging Jamie Raskin for State Senate campaign – the grand opening of the Silver Spring campaign headquarters. Located at 8435 Georgia Avenue in the historic and beautiful Auras Building, the headquarters is strategically located in the heart of Silver Spring to provide maximum contact between the voters and the Raskin team as the campaign moves into high gear over the summer and into the fall, culminating with the Democratic primary election on September 12.

"I know I already announced and everything, but it struck me that we shouldn't move in without a party and ribbon-cutting," Jamie said. "We are in the heart of Silver Spring, in a building bought by visionary small businesspeople a decade ago, and from here we will complete the drive to revitalize our party and take back our state."
